Location: Pharynx anterior bulb
Description: Anteriorly, I3 is inserted onto muscles pm1 and pm2 and terminates anterior to the dorsal gland cell duct with a proprioceptive-like ending (Cook et al., 2020). Posterior process terminates on the dorsal side of the nerve ring (Albertson and Thomson, 1976). Neurotransmitter/ Neuropeptide:
- Acetylcholine
- NLP-3; neuropeptide-like protein
