Functions: Controls entry into dauer stage (Bargmann C.I. and Horvitz H.R. 1991). Contribute to a residual chemotactic response to cAMP, biotin, Cl-, and Na+ after ASE is killed (Bargmann C.I. and Horvitz H.R., 1991)

Receptor expression: Express mammalian capsaicin receptor-like protein OSM-9 (Colbert H.A. et al 1997). Express mammalian capsaicin receptor-like channel protein OCR-2 (Tobin D.et al 2002). Express G protein-coupled serpentine receptors, SRB-6 (faint), SRD-1(in male)(Troemel E. et al 1995).
