Amphid wing "B" cells. Have ciliated sheet-like sensory endings closely associated with amphid sheath

Functions: Avoidance from 2-nonanone, 1-octanol (Troemel E.R. et al 1997)

Receptor expression: Express G protein-coupled serpentine receptor STR-1 (Troemel E.R. et al 1997). Express transmembrane guanylyl cyclase DAF-11 (Birnby D.A. et al 2000). Suggested to express AEX-2, a 7-transmembrane domain protein with homology to the G protein-coupled receptor family (Round E. K. et al, 2002).
